Lithuanian is, just like Latvian, a Baltic language. In total, more than 4 millino people speak Lithuanian. Most of the speakers live in Lithuanua where it is considered the official language. About 100 years ago, Lithuanian was considered an extinct language, but the language has recuperated due to political changes.
